Wonder Valley Ranch Resort is a tranquil setting that sits among groves of mature Oaks & Sycamores in Central California From the moment your tour bus pulls up to the gates of Wonder Valley Ranch Resort’s scenic foothill grounds, the fun begins & never stops throughout each day & night of your stay. While at this 75-acre facility it offers beautiful surroundings & endless activities.

From Hemet we travel north to Bakersfield where you will be welcomed to the Guild House. The beautiful Victorian Barlow home, built in 1909, where we will be  served lunch. You’ll be impressed with an excellent meals prepared by some of Bakersfield's finest cooks.  All meals are prepared on-site daily & include soup, entree, rolls, dessert & beverage.
Once again we head north to Wonder Valley’s  idyllic 75-acre facility that offers beautiful surroundings & endless activities. A Friendly program staff gives our bus a real Wonder Valley welcome with a few pleasant surprises.. This is just the beginning of the fun & activities you will find at Wonder Valley.  Wonder Valley Ranch Resort is quite possibly the most versatile and awe-inspiring property on the West Coast. DAY 2     Wednesday         October 15        [B ] [L]  [D]
While Wonder Valley’s idyllic 75-acre facility offers beautiful surroundings and endless activities, the resort also makes the perfect base camp for a wide variety of exciting side trips to nearby locations. Following breakfast,  the day will start off with our local step on guide with a tour that takes us to Fresno & Meux Home: Travel back in time as you tour the 1888 Meux Home Museum. The Meux Home was built by Dr. Meux, a Civil War surgeon for the Confederate Army. The house was continuously occupied by members of the Meux family until 1970 when it was purchased by the City of Fresno. Just blocks from the Museum of Valor.
 
Forestiere Underground Garden: One man – One dream – One fantastic feat! A 40- year labor of love * by Sicilian immigrant Baldassare Forestiere.  Take a subterranean journey to the Mediterranean–in the middle of California ! This intricate maze of tunnels and living rooms all underground with arches and stonework patterned after the catacombs of ancient Rome is world renowned. It includes an underground aquarium, a complete ballroom with stage and an 800’ automobile tunnel. Beautiful stain glass windows allow light in from above. See it to believe it!
We return to Wonder Valley in time for the hosted happy hour just before the fanatic hosted dinner.   Then — some Wonder Valley evening activities.  You may wind up with some  Wonder Valley Funny Money , which  can be used at Wonder Valley’s famous (or infamous) Mystery Auction, which will be held the last morning of our stay.
DAY 3    Thursday     October 16        [B ] [L] [D]
After breakfast and, we take a science drive into the OUR Wine Crush tour.   Do you want to get your feet wet? Come and have your own "I Love Lucy" experience being bare foot in the grapes, or just watch. First we will stop at an early 1900's mansion, Kearney Mansion.  M. Theo Kearney was known as the "Raisin King" and pioneered much of the agricultural industry in Central Valley. Then visit local boutique wineries, participate in tasting and learn firsthand how varied wines can be. Travel to a family owned Italian winery, a new age winery offering very smooth wines. Finish up at Milla Vineyards where your gracious hosts will tempt you with wines full of fruit, fabulous hors d’ oeuvres and the opportunity to participate in an old fashion grape stomp. On our way back to the Ranch stop at Simonian Winery for one last tasting before returning to the Ranch.  Happy hour and then dinner. Once again — some Wonder Valley evening activities.
DAY 4     Friday         October 17        [B ] [L]  
After breakfast and some Wonder Valley activities including the Wonder Valley Action.
Then we head south to Bakersfield tour though more of California’s scene space. Arriving at  The Wool Growers, the most popular Basque restaurant in Bakersfield. It was created to offer guests the finest in Basque dining with a comfortable, family-oriented atmosphere. From the moment one enters, they are transported to the Basque country, a world that touches all the senses. For half a century, Wool Growers has offered its guests a relaxing experience. Wool Growers' guests visit from around the world. Many celebrities from nearby Hollywood such as Barbara Streisand, Huell Howser, Judge Wapner and Chuck Connors regularly enjoy its fine cuisine – and former California Governor and US President Reagan loved the fries. During your visit today you will indulge yourself in the dishes of the South of France and Northern Spain.  Now that you have experienced it we depart for home after a fun-filled vacation Say farewell to your traveling companions and share fond memories  with your new found friends as we head back to Hemet.  this evening,   Tonight you sleep in your bed, good Night.

Travel & Cancellation Insurance
Should you find it necessary to cancel, travel insurance provides coverage for trip cancellation or trip interruption, if circumstances arise that require the late cancellation of your trip prior to departure or interruption of your trip once you have departed.  Subject to restrictions, details provided on request & with acknowledgment of your deposit on this trip.

Any person making a tour reservation should be in good physical and mental health, not requiring any unusual assistance from the Driver, Tour Director, or Roommate in carrying out the normal activities of the tour.
If you do not have a companion, but would like to travel on a twin-basis, let us know, and we can try to find another tour member also interested in a companion.  However, we do not guarantee a roommate, therefore, the reservation will be held on a single basis unless a suitable roommate can be found.
